According to a new study, home buyers in Austin pay more than many other home buyers in the United States.

According to Florida Atlantic University and Florida International University researchers, buyers of townhouses pay 67.7 percent more for housing than in the regular housing market.

This makes Austin the second most expensive metropolitan city in the country.

Looking at Zillow’s housing data and third-party housing data providers, the researchers found that the average home price in Austin exceeded the expected price and continued to rise.

The data show that home buyers in Austin have been paying a home premium since 2017, and since 2017 it has only grown.

The city with the highest price in the US is Boise City, Idaho, where buyers pay 72.6 percent more than the expected price. Dallas-Fort Worth also got on list No. 1. On May 18, San Antonio is located at No. 45.

Austin’s house cost growth continues as the Austin Board of Realtors reports that the average townhouse price rose to a record $ 667,000 last month.
