Even after a year of the pandemic causing shutdowns across the United States, 42% of real estate professionals said that COVID-19 is still impacting their business.

According to 28% of respondents from RIS Media’s COVID Delta Variant Survey, the most impacted feature is open houses. 

26% said that it played havoc in showing homes, and 21 % said the office environment was disturbed, and 13% felt closings were rattled. 

Communications with clients, appraisals, relationships with vendors, communications with agents, mortgage transactions, and mortgage relationships were all the other aspects that got impacted due to COVID.

Close to 30% of agents feel that their real estate business resumed back to normal, 42% saw great improvement, even if it is not the same as pre-pandemic times. 

20% said they are still recovering, whereas those still significantly impacted by COVID weighed to 8%.

The new variant is causing trouble across America. Close to 62% are worried about how the delta variant will impact the future of the real estate business. 

58% of professionals said that businesses would shut down and restrictions would be levied again, 27% were unsure and 15% remained positive and optimistic. 

If another shutdown occurs the real estate professionals are feeling more prepared, 55% are ready to go virtual again and 39% getting towards it. Only 6% feel they are not ready for virtual business.
